Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now, is the time to arise and come away with me. Song of Songs 2:13

There has been a lot of talk these days about a “Reset”. Most agree this refers to the financial arena. The end of cash, the changing of currency, the decline of nations, the nefarious plans of men who seek control. A scheme that is intended to disrupt the lives of everyone on the planet.

For the most part, these reports carry with them an edge of fear. Let’s face it any kind of change and uncertainty brings with it an element of anxiety. Anytime, we cannot control the outcome of a situation it causes an unnerving unsettledness in our lives. What powerful people do in positions of authority is far beyond our purview and certainly outside of our control. Our hope and trust can never be in politics – although I believe we should be involved in government and not helpless bystanders. They are not the ones who solve problems. Nor should we put our faith in finances. However, it does take money to live in our world.

The enemy is masterful at framing the events in our lives in his own terms. Without actual power, he is dependent upon our will and agreement. We become his agents of implementation and destruction. While it would never be our intention to partner in such endeavors, we often willingly and sometimes without revelation, do just that. I am not suggesting that we bury our heads in the sand, to borrow a cliche, and ignore what is really going on around us. Wisdom is always a prudent response. But it would also be naive of us to believe that the enemy is the only one with a plan. Of course, we would all agree that God is the master planner, but sometimes our lives, our thoughts, our decisions, and our discussions demonstrate something totally different.

Satan is the great copy cat. He has no ability to develop a plan or a scheme that has not already been tried and in fact, he is always a pawn in the hand of an all wise God. Think that thought. This “Great Reset” isn’t an idea birthed in the the board room of hell, it is rather a grand calculated undertaking instigated by God Himself. The gospel is the greatest “reset” ever. Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old
order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Have you ever stopped for just a moment and really considered the import of the BC/AD phenomenon? (Before Christ/After Death) Satan cleverly, or not so cleverly, used all of his influence to remove Jesus. His plan was a reset to “garden time” when he was not relegated to slithering but regained some of his angel of light status. No longer restrained by Jesus, the world would finally be his. Except, that God was not about to just return us to the garden, He was about to turn everything around, to reset everything in a way that would could not be undone. After the Death of Jesus hell found itself defeated, disgraced, and doomed as Jesus spent time there openly displaying their inadequacy and taking back the keys of the kingdom.

The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus represent God’s idea of changing history. All of time was split into the days BC (Before Christ) and AD (After Death). The “reset” was so pronounced that our calendar reflects the change. Even the unbelieving are subject to the truth of the gospel. We are living in the times that are characterized by all the benefits and blessings that Christ’s coming to earth provided. We are no longer living tied to the old, but have been remade into something brand new. No wonder the planet is groaning for our appearance. (Romans 8:22) It is our redeemed presence that brings hope that all things will be restored. And not just back to the beginning, but better than ever.

The next time we feel a wave of overwhelming dismay flood over our soul that is the best time to remind ourselves that we are actually the ones who hold the power. We are the ones connected to God, Himself, who was and is and is to come. (Revelation 1:8) What if we became divine partners to bring a reset? What if we are the ones who are here in this time in history to be the world changers? What if the book of Acts believers just got things started and we get to continue their disrupting demonstrations of God’s power? (Acts 17:6) What if we actually began to live as the new creations we are? We are full of power and authority that has been delegated to us through Jesus Himself. We are indestructible, heaven is our destination regardless of what happens here, and our words carry the very life and creative nature of God to initiate change. Hope cannot stay dormant when we believe in the truth of who we are. Righteousness will prevail, and joy and peace experienced.

Let’ begin a “Fresh Start” initiative of our own birthed out of authentic relationship with God. His mercy, His peace, His righteousness, His truth, His promise, His plan, His joy becoming the experience of the planet. As carriers of His divine nature, we are agents, contagions of epidemic proportion. Our DNA has already been changed to reflect His. We are not bound to live inside the confines of circumstance, but rather, like Jesus, can begin a movement that will change the world. What if time is getting ready to be renamed again? AD/HE (Heaven on Earth) brought by believing believers living like Jesus. Let the “Great Reset” begin!
